Dr Rebecca Bilton, is the Program and Research Director of ARIIA, an industry facing organisation that delivers national capability building and knowledge mobilisation programs to increase aged workforce capability to implement best practice.  As a ‘pracademic’ – her career aims, experiences and achievements, have been underpinned by her role as a boundary spanner between research, best practice and current service delivery to achieve practical solutions-focused outcomes for vulnerable Australians.

Her current focus is to increase the quality of health and aged care service delivery, to increase the amount of aged care that is delivered according to best practice, to improve service options and the capabilities of the sector to embed best-practice, and to reduce the time to innovation by streamlining delivery of research into practice.  She has 11 years of experience in primary and aged care health services research and is a highly experienced researcher with extensive expertise in developing and delivering collaborative research partnerships, and managing large-scale projects in the aged care sector, including national research translation and health services studies.
