Judith Leeson

Judith has been a passionate advocate for people living with disadvantage throughout her career and enjoyed leadership roles in Early Childhood, Disability, and Career Development for nearly seven decades, delivering services through her family business, Vector Consultants, facilitating independence and capacity through innovative, evidence-based programs. She was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2005 for significant services to the community, particularly through support for people seeking opportunity for life-long learning and career development.
More recently Judith has become an independent aged-care advocate for high quality services based on rigorous evidence, putting the consumer at the centre, respecting their uniqueness, capacity to make decisions about their care and support, and exercising the dignity of risk. She is a Director of Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA), sits on a number of boards and research advisory groups, and is an Ambassador for the Caring Futures Institute at Flinders University.
