Michael Zoumaras

Michael Zoumaras is an accomplished physiotherapist and leader with expertise across many different fields of allied health. He brings years of clinical and operational experience in aged care; work health and safety (including Defence, warehousing, and construction); and musculoskeletal care.

Michael began his career as a disability care worker, which shaped his holistic approach towards positive rehabilitation and a commitment to improving client’s dignity and quality of life. Since joining Altaira in 2021, Michael has led the Allied Health team, fostering a culture of trust, professionalism, and evidence-based practice.

Passionate about promoting functional independence and driving meaningful outcomes, he shaped the introduction of allied health services at Altaira across residential and community aged care, private practice, and occupational health. During his time with Altaira, he has widened the scope of practice to encompass occupational therapy, podiatry, exercise physiology, and dietetics services as part of Altaira’s overall allied health offering.
